After a needed early summer break, we have returned and begun focusing on our creative process once again.

Within a week we scheduled a day of studio recording, a show, a TV spot, and I redesigned our branding from scratch and built an entire website.

Needless to say, it's all a bit of a whirlwind right now.

Since we came together as a mere spark of a cover band over a year ago, we've been busy. Our vision has grown beyond just making music but creating a story, a world, that we can explore through a variety of mediums. I'm not sure how it all started, exactly, but the story we've created is a force unto itself. Our upcoming album, which is almost entirely written, is only part one of at least three planned. What started as music has now turned into visual art, podcasts, short stories, and potentially more. We're obviously incredibly excited to share our world with, well, this one.

There are inspirations that drive us to think maybe this thing could be successful. Coheed and Cambria, Owen Pallet's Heartland, and Welcome to Night Vale have all been big influences. Of course, these are all pretty different from what we're doing. But it's my hope that we'll make something that inspires others the way these stories inspired us.

We're only just getting into the thick of this. Demos should be available in a couple of weeks, and then we can really focus on getting our name out there and finalizing Volume I of Harper's Farce. With so much going on, I'm hoping that writing it down helps keep everything straight.

It's a good idea, anyway.

So for those of you interested in our upcoming projects, this is the place to hear about them. More than anything else, it's the place to learn more into our creative process, our thoughts about the world, and other behind-the-scenes musings.

See you on the other side.
